CHRISTMAS WITH TEXAS GRANDMAAfter church on Christmas Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa Bob along with Jeremy's sister Jenni and her family, and Jeremy's brother Jake came over to our house for some good eats and celebration!

Grandpa Bob has the magic touch. Yes, Carri fell asleep while standing next to the couch.

The day after Christmas we all went to temple square. Here's Jeremy, his mom, sister Jenni, and brother Jake:

Grandma and Grandpa Bob took the kids on a carriage ride. Here's Thorin, Briston, and Jackson:

CHRISTMAS

It was a special Christmas this year since Christmas fell on a Sunday. While it was fun to open presents Christmas morning, it helped bring the true meaning of Christmas to our home and hearts to be able to attend church and feel His presence there. We are truly thankful for our Savior. For his birth, for his life, and for his atoning sacrafice.

EARLY CHRISTMAS
While they were up for Jackson's baptism, Grandpa and Grandma Sandy had the kids open their presents. We're so glad they were able to come!

And of course we had to make a stop at LaFrontera!

JACKSON'S BAPTISM
We are so proud of Jackson and his decision to get baptised. He's a good boy and we are thankful everyday that he is part of our family.

WIND STORM
We survived the December wind storm that gusted to over 100 mph with only a few minor damages.
The top of our pine tree is missing:

We had our neighbors fence, among other debris, that blew into our yard. Where the fence used to be:

Our destroyed patio. I can't beliece the amount of garbage everywhere!

The tree next door to us at the church:

Our neighbors across the street:

This is at the apartments I manage. The tree blew over onto a neighboring house's roof.

Another tree at the apartments.

THANKSGIVING #2
We were lucky enough to have 2 Thanksgivings this year. After we had our own small thanksgiving at our house, we went down to Panguitch to Leslie's house for the weekend to have another family thanksgiving and to meet our newest cousin Colton.

There was many a fun card game played around the table:

We drove into Cedar City to play at the park, do a little shopping, and to catch a movie.

THANKSGIVING #1
We got to have Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year.
The kids table:

The adult table with Uncle Ricky, David (William's friend), William, and Jeremy. The extra plate was for Jake who sadly couldn't make it.

Most of the spread. I wish I had thought to take this picture before we started eating!

JACKSON TURNS EIGHT!
We celebrated with a special birthday dinner on his actual birthday and then we went to Grandma's house the next night for presents and cake.

I love how Thorin is trying to make Carri look at the camera in this shot.

GOOFING AROUND
I love that our kids can play and have fun together. These kiddos are the best!

HALLOWEEN
Thorin as Iron Man, Jackson as a ninja, and Carrigan as a fairy princess:

Our jack-o-lanterns:

The Halloween spread including jack-o-lantern cake, homemade torilla chips shaped like bats, witches, and pumpkins, salsa, mummy dogs, and pumpkin empanadas. Yummy!

TRUNK OR TREAT
Emma (witch), Carri (frog), Jared (Woody), Jackson (Iron Man), and Thorin (Pit Crew) at our ward's trunk or treat:

CRAZY HAIR DAY AT SCHOOL
FAMILY REUNIONWhile not the traditional family reunion involving seldom seen relatives, we have a family reunion each year with my mom and my siblings so we can gather everyone in since we're all spread out from northern Utah all the way to the south. At least we can be grateful we're all still in the same state.

Grandma and Thorin fighting their way through a dangerous jungle:

Jackson is such a good driver he can pause to wave at the camera and still win the race!

Bumper boats!

PARK CITYOur annual trip to the condo in Park City was a blast as always. In a 3 level condo there seems to be a surplus of stairs, so I can't imagine why one of the favorite activities was sliding down all those stairs. Scott got to be the sled.

This shot is the best! That's Jackson on top, Thorin sandwiched in the middle, and Scott on the bottom.

As always, the pool was the main attraction.

And to cap off the wonderful week.....Carri's broken arm. Word of warning--bunkbeds and toddlers don't mix well.

THORIN'S BIRTHDAY
He's five!

To celebrate we all went bowling with Grandma, Uncles Ian and Scott, and Aunts Liana and Linette. Then we went to the park to play and have a picnic lunch.
